We went through all the balls the league gave us pretty quickly so I bought these as well. I do notice that when I reach in the mixed bucket to pick a ball I like these the best.

They are soft which is a plus when you are throwing at a 5 year old. I try and throw a little harder than the rest of the coaches to keep the ball flat so a soft ball nice.

It's especially nice when the bigger kids hit it screaming back at you and you are only 12 feet away. A good tip, keep the 5 gallon bucket of balls in front of you at least there is a chance it will it the bucket instead of you! I also like this ball better than the others when you have to invariably accept failure as a pitcher and drag out the tee for one of the kids.

The MLB logo is a perfect thing to have the kids focus on when they are swinging at the ball on the tee. On accepting failure, as a coach pitcher it is your job to hit the bat of the swinging kid, not the kid's job to hit your pitch.

So if they don't hit it, it's your fault for missing their bat! Of the three different types of balls we used this season this one is my favorite. These balls are as described.

These are the soft padded balls that are better than hitting a whiffle but still lower the risk of kid damage if they get struck by one. It helped the 5 yr old gain some confidence batting vs a t-ball stand.

Get a net to protect yourself and pitch to them. Perhaps you want a few dozen vs one dozen depending on picking them up? One person found this helpful. Even with a batting net, we lost 2 of them.

Just what my son needed to practice catching and throwing at 4 years old. It's got a solid core with a thin spongey outer layer. When you hit it off the tee, it doesn't have that satisfying PING! But it's nice to know that when he misses a catch and the ball hits him he won't be as upset. Retrieved 11 April Television in Hong Kong. Television providers and channels in Malaysia.
