Sign in to your recovery email account. Add a phone number. If you do add a phone number, you may have to confirm it by entering a code that Google sends to your Messages app on the next page. Please enter a valid email. Press 'Delete Account' and you can go back on 'Mail' and add a different email account.

If you don't find their Gmail address but you do find another email address, try emailing them there and asking them for their Gmail address. Message someone through a contact link you find on one of the websites in your search results. Ask them for their Gmail address. Go to Facebook, MySpace or any other social networking site. You won't be able to see their email address, but you can send them a message through their personal page on the website.

If you find more than one person by that name, send them all messages and explain who you are looking for. The right one may respond and you can ask them for their Gmail address.

Enter someone's name on "Email Lookup" on Intelius. The service will display several letters in the email address. Guess their email addresses using the letters provided and send them emails at each one, explaining who you're looking for.

You'll receive mailer daemons for any invalid email addresses. Enter your recovery email address or phone number to find your old Gmail address. Select I don't know my username and click Continue. Try first to use your recovery email address.

This is the email address you provided when you signed up for your Gmail account. It could be your work email address or the email address you currently use. If the recovery address is not a Gmail address, you are sent an email containing instructions to recover your account. Enter the first and last name attached to your account.

Sign in to the Google account that uses your recovery email, if your recovery address is a Gmail address. Gmail next shows you which email addresses are associated with your recovery email. If you see the address you seek, select it and proceed with the sign-in process. If you do not remember the recovery email address you provided when you signed up for your Gmail account, use your phone number instead.

Return to the Google Account Recovery page and enter your recovery phone number. This is likely your cell phone number. Choose to have Google send you a verification code via text message or automated phone call.

Enter the code Google sends you and click Continue. Google will then show you the usernames associated with your phone number.

After you recover your Gmail address, try signing into your account. If you are unable to remember your Gmail password, Google provides options. Select I don't know my password and enter your email address. Enter the last password you remember and click Continue.

If you are not sure of your password, click I Don't Know. Choose to receive your verification code via text message or automated phone call and click Continue.
